Message to Families & Community

Dear Uxbridge School Community,

At approximately 2:55 PM, a student athlete at Uxbridge High School discovered a threat written on a bathroom stall.  The student immediately reported it to Mr. Rubin, the building principal. Per our Emergency Response Plan, Mr. Rubin contacted the Uxbridge Police School Resource Officer and me.  The scene was immediately investigated.

Though the threat was deemed to be a low-level one, we emphasize to the community that we take all threats seriously, and will continue to work collaboratively with our public safety partners to ensure that our students and staff are always safe. In that spirit, we are appreciative of the continued support and  collaboration of the Uxbridge Police Department.

At the same time, we are also grateful for the decision made by the student who immediately reported this discovery to school administration, demonstrating the core values we hope see in all of our Spartans.

Sincerely,

Dr. Frank A. Tiano
Superintendent
Uxbridge Public Schools
