Good morning,
We had a fire alarm triggered this morning at UHS, which prompted a brief evacuation that started about 15 minutes ago. Students and staff were outside for approximately 11 minutes while our public safety partners arrived and conducted a brief investigation. After assuring that there was no safety threat, students and staff were returned to class.
There was no sign of fire, nor were any fire alarms pulled, so we will investigate what may have triggered the smoke detector, which could have been any of a variety of factors. We appreciate the cooperation of the students and staff, as well as the prompt follow-up from our public safety partners.
