On Friday September 14th, Uxbridge High School is hosting a College Fair for our students and students attending other surrounding high schools. Representatives from Colleges in the New England area will be in attendance. Some of the schools in attendance are: Assumption College, Keene State, Emerson, Worcester State, and UMass Amherst. All branches of the military will also be in attendance. Most of the college representatives attending will be the ones viewing your son’s/daughter’s college applications. Given this, we highly recommend your son/daughter dress nice for this occasion, act professionally, bring a resume, and come with a list of questions that they can ask. Some key questions are:
· What qualities and experiences are you looking for in a student?
· What were some of the social and cultural highlights on campus last year?
· Are there research or internship opportunities for undergraduate students? What are they?
· What percentage of students lives on campus?
· What services are offered for tutoring or extra help?
· What is the student to faculty ratio for lower division courses?
