Good morning,
For the second time this week, we had an evacuation due to a fire alarm at UHS. We have a faulty smoke detector which, instead of triggering a warning, is going into an alarm. Unfortunately, because we were unable to have someone here to service the alarm/detector yesterday, it "re-armed" today, hence why we had another situation today. Fortunately, there is no problem at UHS, and the weather has cooperated while we have been outside.
We are back in the building and the day is proceeding as scheduled.
For students who may have been taking the Advanced Placement test today, we have been in touch with the College Board, and we have been assured that there is no problem with the test or its security, considering there was no malfeasance on the part of the students during the evacuation.
Thank you,
Michael Rubin, Principal
