On Wednesday, February 1, senior Joshua Callinan, with his mother Lynne and sister Hannah looking on, signed his national letter of intent to play college football at St. Anselm's College in New Hampshire. A three-sport standout at UHS, Joshua is currently one of the captains of the basketball team, and he captained the football team to a district final appearance this past fall. A standout from an athletic standpoint and in the classroom, Joshua is excited to be a Hawk!
Football Coach Bob Martellio, Athletic Director Marc Calarese, Principal Mike Rubin, and Basketball Coach Dave Aldrich all joined for the event, in which several thousand athletes nationwide indicate their intention of competing beyond high school.
