Good afternoon,
A few updates from UHS:
WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION
For student-athletes planning on participating in winter sports, this is a reminder that all students must register via FamilyID. The link can be found
here. Please make sure that physical examinations are current, and communicate with the nurse for any updates.
HOLIDAY PARTY
The annual UHS Community Holiday Party, with a Peanuts theme, will be held on Friday, December 2, beginning at 5:00 p.m. We ask families to bring donations of unwrapped toys or gifts for either a school or high-school aged student as a donation. We are so proud of the work of our student committee, led by Mr. Silbor and Ms. Wise, and hope that many of you will pass the word along to younger students in the community and their parents, as we showcase the talents and spirit of our very giving town. A video about the event can be
viewed here.
REPORT CARDS
First quarter grades were distributed a couple of weeks ago. Please feel free to reach out to counselors or teachers regarding concerns, particularly for students with unanticipated low grades or failures. Teachers have been in contact with parents, are using Google classroom, and have many ways for parents to stay on top of grades and assignments - if you have specific questions, do not hesitate to reach out. We continue to work on ways to be more effective in terms of two-way communication, but obviously need your support.
HALF DAY WEDNESDAY
Just a reminder: Wednesday is a half day, with student dismissal at 10:30 a.m.
THANKSGIVING
The football team faces Northbridge on Thursday, with a 10:15 kickoff at Northbridge Middle School. We hope to see many of you there!
On behalf of the entire faculty, staff, and administration of Uxbridge High School, we wish you and your families a happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday - as we consider the many things for which we are thankful at the onset of this holiday season, we hope that everyone takes pause to think of something for which they are all grateful as well.
Sincerely,
Michael Rubin, Principal
Uxbridge High School
