Weekly News and Notes

Good afternoon,

Some updates from UHS this week:

Promenade and Prom

The promenade and junior/senior prom events are next Friday. Promenade begins at 3:45 p.m. sharp, and we hope to depart no later than 4:30 p.m. for the senior prom at Leicester Country Club. The prom ends at 10:00 p.m., after which students will return to UHS via coach.

No individual transportation to or from the prom is permitted. We hope to see many parents and friends as we begin our year-end events this week!

AP Testing

Be reminded that AP testing will begin the week of May 7. All payments for tests have been processed, and dates are scheduled on the school calendar. Students taking an AP test are only required to be in school during the time of the test. If there is a day when they have no test, students are expected to be here.

Student Advisory Council

Congratulations to Nicholas Fernandes and Madeleine Schleinitz on their election to serve as delegates to the State Student Advisory Council for Central Massachusetts; Hannah Smith and Robert Osimo will serve as alternates. The Council helps form recommendations to the state Board of Education on matters that are relevant to students.

End of Year Is Coming!

As we near the end of the year, the potential for students to relax and even take courses for granted. We want to make sure that families and educators keep lines of communication open, and if there are concerns, please let us know before things become too challenging to overcome.

Mark your Calendars

The Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday, May 9 in the UHS auditorium, and we will post a full schedule of senior week events next week, including graduation rehearsal. The senior parade through the other buildings will be on June 1, and typically starts around 10:00 a.m. at the middle school.

Have a great weekend!
